Notting Hill, London W11 · Garments, shirts and alterations

Some stains
will not come out.

Set stains, heat-fixed marks, dye transfer and sun damage are usually permanent. A cleaner who promises to remove anything is either guessing or about to damage the fabric trying.

How we work

A London cleaner, honest about fabric

AYA Dry Cleaners Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 13968757, incorporated in March 2022, trading from 14 All Saints Road, London W11 1HH.

Two things worth knowing before you leave anything with any cleaner. We process garments to the care label; anything the label forbids is done only at your written request and at your risk. And liability for loss or damage is limited to an item's depreciated value given its age and condition, not what you paid or what it would cost to replace — so if something is exceptionally valuable, tell us at the counter and we will discuss cover first rather than after.

Frequently asked

The questions we get most

Will you get this stain out?

Sometimes. Set stains, heat-fixed marks, dye transfer, perfume and sun damage are often permanent, and pushing further risks the fabric. We will tell you honestly at the counter rather than charging for four attempts.

What if you damage my coat?

Liability is limited to the depreciated value of the item given its age and condition — not the replacement cost. That is standard across the trade, and it is why you should declare anything exceptionally valuable before leaving it.

The label says dry clean only but can you wash it?

Only if you ask in writing and accept the risk. Labels reflect what the fabric, interlining and trims will survive, and ignoring them usually produces a shrunk or distorted garment.

How soon should I bring my wedding dress?

Within a few weeks. Champagne, sugar and perspiration oxidise into brown marks over months, so a dress brought a year later rarely cleans as well. We will be honest about what is achievable.

Can you let this dress out?

Only if there is seam allowance to work with. Where there is not, we will tell you rather than taking the work and producing something that pulls.

What happens if I forget to collect something?

We will hold it and try to contact you. Items left beyond our stated collection period may be disposed of, so do let us know if you are going to be a while.

Got something you are unsure about?

Bring it in. Counter advice is free, including when the answer is to leave it alone.
